Hub organiser and team applications invited

Students, postdocs, researchers and innovators with good programming and/or optimisation skills are invited to apply to participate in the ROAR-NET Problem Modelling Code Fest, to be held from 9 to 11 September 2025, online and locally at physical hubs around the world.

The application deadlines are:

  • Teams: 2 September 2025 (AOE)
  • Hubs: 26 August 2025 (AOE)

Teams can choose one of two Tracks:

  • Training Track: A sequence of modelling challenges aimed at entry-level participants
  • Development Track: Problem-statement development, model implementation, benchmark-instance construction, and software-tool development activities to be proposed and carried out by the teams themselves

Badges will be awarded for team achievements, and an achievement board will track team progress throughout the event. Presentations on optimisation and modelling, live-coding tutorials and Q&A sessions will support the coding activities.
